Quite a story of a woman's love, resolve, and wisdom that emanates from her. The wonderful yet tragic life of Shirley is creatively and lovingly told as she experiences both Joy and sorrow. At times, I wanted to cry at her circumstances, waiting for something to come that would stem the flow of tears. The love of a boy that she caringly helped returns when he appears to take care of her.
