A story, achingly told, of April, a woman who for twenty years was gaslit and mentally abused by her husband. In breaking free. She begins life anew in a small Maine town. She falls in love but her anguished and hurt self refuses to accept an alternative reality to what she accepted and incorporated into her broken self.
