An amazing novel of lives lived, some of which were lost to time, to choices made. Susan as a young woman, acting in her blood giving her life. Al as a young man loving Susan with his entire heart. Their lives veer between intense closeness and immense distance separation. Their twins, Sebastian and Viola are kept separate from their mother’s career and life thousands miles away, growing up with fractured images and memories.
