Swept Away by the Cowboy by Leah Vale

Swept Away by the Cowboy 4

Leah Vale

The magnetic forces of chemistry are pulling Laura and Asher together. Her secret about obtaining a bank loan for the stability of the Grit and Grace stock supplier is keeping her from admitting her feelings for Asher because he is the owner of the ranch her group rents. Getting stuck for a night furthers both their feelings to an undeniable level. A great story of independence in need of softening.

Witchful Linking by Jen Lasalle

I was fortunate to be able to read the first book of the Midlife at the Magnolia series (Witchful Shrinking), although it is not necessary to enjoy this novel. It is so creative and magical as the temporary Supreme, Simone, is challenged for her position by her mean cousin. The cousin seems to have turned Simone’s Magnolia friends against her. She appears intent to win at all costs, causing many problems for Simone.

(Witchful Shrinking introduces Magnolia House and new temporary Supreme, Simone. Her inheritance of the house comes at a time when her psychologist business, her marriage, and her relationship with her son are all in trouble. The surprising inheritance brings tremendous changes to Simone's life as she learns of her magic and struggles to adapt to the house and to the other paranormal beings who work there.)

All the Men I've Loved Before by Christine Pride

A rather long and sometimes tedious novel recounting the loves of Cora Belle. When she goes to college, she is determined to break out of her sheltered life and truly experience life. She meets and falls in love with Lincoln. He is a young man from a very poor background and determined to make a life in politics. He is in her life continually, even after they break up. Cora also meets Aaron and also falls in love with him. The story traces her meetings and interactions with both men as she finally (twenty years later) decides which one she truly belongs with.

The Summer House by Lauren K. Denton

A marvelous novel that will make you laugh and hold your heart. The aches and pains of life are carefully crafted, showing a deep understanding of the characters of Rose and Lily. Rawlins and Coach are described lovingly, each with an undercurrent of feelings for Lily and Rose. A lovely Lauren K. Denton novel.

The Twin by Amanda Brookfield

A story jammed packed with emotional chapters. The death of Catherine’s twin and Oliver’s half-brother brings to the surface the strife, anger and deeply held emotions of both Catherine and Oliver. The story traces their journeys to wholeness, a journey rife with intensity and coldness. A powerful story of how a very dysfunctional family seriously impacted its members.

Hopelessly Teavoted by Audrey Goldberg Ruoff

A witchingly cute novel of deep love finding its true home and of devil curses spoiling love and its dependency on touch. It is a long endearing love of Azraelfor Vikki and of her indecision about her love for him. The story is long and very rewarding. Saucy scenes.

We Met Like This by Kasie West

An adorable and enjoyable novel on all levels. The characters of Oliver and Margot are terrific together. Their dialog is snarky and, at times, deep. Ms. West’s move into adult story lines from young adult is smart and well developed.
