Marlowe Banks, Redesigned by Jacqueline Firkins

Marlowe Banks is an educated costume designer working as a lowly PA for a TV series. She hates/loves her job and the money is just okay. On a fluke, she is used in a small part on the series and her life blows up due to social media. A romance with Angus, one of the stars, and all of the erroneous media postings completely derail Marlowe. A real feeling story about social media and how it can influence and/or ruin people.

The 24 Hour Dating Agency by Mary Jayne Baker

Ramona is a beleaguered worker, tired wife and deeply caring mother. Her life is upended by a Category 4 hurricane, a cheating husband, a clueless boss, and a mother who decides to stay put in her island home. Driven by all circumstances wrong, she takes her evacuated family back to Savannah to rescue her mother and begin to make sense out of chaos. Some crazy funny parts will bring a chuckle.

To Get to the Other Side by Kelly Ohlert

Cute, funny and full of love, To Get to the Other Side is a charming novel. The main characters, Trixie and Bear (along with her chicken) are adorable together. Things are not always perfect as Trixie struggles with hidden insecurities and Bear with past hurts. I loved the very witty sections that made me really smile.

The Baby Whisperer by Fiona McArthur

Love is in the air and has captured Eli, the no-strings bachelor of Wirralong. It has also wrapped around Stephanie. She has said, “No,” to any relationships, especially with a volunteer fireman.

The wiles of Wirralong encircle Stephanie and Eli as sweetness and determination take over.

Vacationland by Meg Mitchell Moore

A novel of family mired in deep dilemmas told in rotating perspectives with engaging characters and captivating plot. Kristie is searching for a connection to a father she never knew about. Louise is trying to cope with marital discord and an unfinished manuscript. Pauline is burdened by sadness. The three children offer delight to offset the heaviness of the story. The summer in Maine will disrupt everyone.

The Hotel Nantucket by Elin Hilderbrand

A thoroughly captivating novel that is so enjoyable to read. There is so much happening during the first summer of the Hotel Nantucket-secrets, romance, a ghost. The lives, wishes, and desires of the staff and of guests play out over the summer as the story unfolds and draws you in with delight.
