If We Could Turn Back Time by Sian O'Gorman

This is a book to read and thoroughly enjoy. The lives of three generations of women are related as time and experiences have changed them. Relationships are renewed from past divisions. It is a story that is simply delightful and touching.

Saltwater by Katy Hays

This is a novel different from any I have read before. At first, I found it confusing and not making any sense or connections. As I continued to read, things became clearer as to the plot and mystery. The story will grab you if you can get past the first confusing chapters.

Sing Me Home to Carolina by Joy Callaway

A family and a town, on the brink of financial ruin, pull residents into a cohesive group when a major football team is interested in building their new stadium in the town. It will destroy existing farms and, although it could bring prosperity back, the cost is too high. The problem is one solitary person refuses to sign a petition against the stadium which causes friction and problems. Her former love, returning to town after a career ending injury in baseball, wants to reunite as he never stopped loving her. It all sounds disjointed but everything wonderfully comes together in the story.

Have I Told You Lately by Beth Moran

A wonderful and sweet story that captures love in a  wonderful setting. There is family life on an island farm with camaraderie of family and tension amid unresolved anger from a long ago hurt. The main character, Aimee, found love letters of her adopted mother that shocked her. She travels to a local island to find the sender and becomes vested in a man she adores family. A very captivating story.

The One Before the One by Emma Cooper

An engrossing, fabulous book. A touch of the unreal mixes with the real to create an intense story of love, loss, and lies.

A Family with the Cowboy by Elsa Winckler

An adorable and very spicy love story. Two people with instant attraction fight it until the chemistry explodes. Doubts and more doubts cloud the way and it seems the sun will never shine on the romance.

The Way to a Cowboy's Heart by Barbara Ankrum

Such a sweet, sweet story of Kismet love. A chance meeting, a flare of chemistry, and a golden opportunity come together to bring romance and love to a cowboy and a Wall Street broker.

Spicy story of a May/December love complicated by a merger of vineyard families and a job competition. Love blooms in Tuscany.

Taming the Highland Beauty by Gerri Russell

A wild and magical journey for the last of the Guardians of the Isles series. The fairy Gille has been trapped in a forest by the evil fairy king Oberon. The ghost of Lady Janet is fading. The loch selkies are in revolt. It is up to Gille and Callum McLeod to find the way to end Gille’s curse, give Janet peace, and bring peace back to the kingdom.

The Lady and the Secret Lord by Kate Moore

Another sharp story in the Duke’s Men series. One of the duke’s men is a detective charged with finding the lost brother of a Lady. He also refuses to find out about the family he is from. Lots of action and, of course, love.

Back After This by Linda Holmes

This is a funny and engaging novel. I laughed out loud several times at the humor. It involves a podcast producer chosen to do a podcast on finding a partner with the help of a coaching guru. She goes on twenty blind dates, each one analyzed in the podcast along with critiques of her using the guru’s guides. She inadvertently meets a guy who could be the one but is admonished to stay away from him. They keep running into each other and darn if he is not really great. You can imagine the trouble this could bring and it does.

Home to the Cowboy's Arms by Debra Holt

I loved this gently moving story of enemies to lovers. The pace moves the story along at just the right pace for a lovely gathering of love between a rancher and the mayor. His ranch has springs that could benefit so many people. He is set on not opening up to anyone. The mayor is determined to convince the adamant man.

The Martha's Vineyard Beach and Book Club by Martha Hall Kelly

This is a historical story of sisters during WWII on Martha’s Vineyard. The story begins with a daughter of a deceased woman coming to the island to find out about her mother’s relationship to the island. The painter she visits tells her the story of the two sisters. The younger sister, Briar, is a curious teen engaged in detecting who is the German spy on the island. Her sister dreams of a publishing career away from the island. Both face dangers that could cause them to be jailed.

Dr. Alaska by Jillian David

A flurry of snow arrives when doctor Lee Tipton arrives in Yukon Valley.  After assisting in a roadside crash, she is dismissed by EMT Mav who thinks she is a pesky bystander. As they get to really know each other, her money problems stand in the way. A spicy, sweet romance deep in the Alaskan wilderness.

An excellent detective/FBI thriller involving heart transplant recipients and criminal tampering with the transplant database.

Beach Vibes by Susan Mallery

Friendship, family, relationships are all disastrously ruined by the deception of one whose tentacles reach everyone. Beth gratefully and lovingly forms a friendship with Jana. Unknown to Beth, her brother Rick has been wooing Jana. When Beth meets Jana’s brother, Teddy, sparks fly. Her brother could ruin it all.

The Page Turner by Viola Shipman

This story could not capture my interest. At the onset, it seems like it is going nowhere. I could not finish it. Strange because I ordinarily like Viola Shipman’s novels.

What If I Never Get Over You by Paige Toon

A wonderful story of love enduring over time that will pluck many different heart strings. It is an up and down story with exhilaration and despair. The path for Ellie and Ash begins with all the excitement of something new only to delve into the depths of mystery. Over time, the story encompasses three stages of their relationship, each poignant, each moving.

Alex Walker is not looking for romance when she meets Sawyer, the new vet. Alex finds an abandoned injured puppy when Sawyer stops for directions. He rescues both of them (she has a flat bike tire) and takes the puppy to the clinic. Alex is adamant about not not wanting the puppy but both the puppy and Sawyer worm their way into her life. A lovely romance.

Crazy antics, a role playing cruise, exes, and a broken up couple find fun and trouble on a cruise to Bermuda.

The First Love Myth by Casey Dembrowski

This is a story of sisters, all at a crossroad in their lives. There is love, resentment, long held hurts, friendship, and estrangement in the story. The deep emotions of each sister spill from the pages.

The Cowboy Fix by Susan Lute

Stubborn meets Miss Perky with a mind full of Ideas. Nathan lives and breaths a family ranch in desperate need of infusions of cash so as not to lose it. Izzy is a specialist in revitalizing businesses. They spar and  butt heads, all along falling for each other.

A cute, cute romance.

The Story She Left Behind by Patti Callahan Henry

A beautiful story to start the new year. There is a blend of wishes, hopes and realities that weave together a story of a long missing mother, her ever hopeful daughter, and the sequel to a novel that cannot be translated. The story is written in a magical language created by the mother-author. When the daughter gets a call that her mother’s satchel of papers has been found after twenty-five years, she and her daughter travel to smog laden London to retrieve the satchel. From this point, a story of discovery and mystery begins.

Never Planned on You by Lindsay Hameroff

One night of drinking games, a twin tattoo, and a one night stand become a fond memory for Ali and Graham. Somehow they both end up in Baltimore and their paths connect as she plans his wedding.

Things are getting mixed up for them in this mixed story of love.

Any Trope But You by Victoria Lavine

Such a cute story of romance within several romance tropes. Author Margot, well loved by her readers suffers an epic fail. Her sister sends her off to the Alaskan wilderness where she meets Forest. He embodies every trope there is. Lust and love bloom and there is a lesson to be had.

The Start of the Story by Jane Lovering

A folklore researcher and an Irish historian wrangle over a Fairy Shane (stone) in the moors of York. Character driven and a lovely tale of finding what is missing from each of their lives.

Catch and Keep by Erin Hahn

The best of romances and a do not miss read. There is growing love, gentle unsureness, and insecurities, two adorable children, their handsome father, and a girl grown up to be a beautiful and caring woman. The story bends and twists through the developing relationship and carries you along the way.
