Such a lovely and touching story of a growing love with odds stacked against it.

Her delightful bubbly personality is opposite to his reticent nature. They somehow blend well together and have definite chemistry but she is very reluctant to pursue anything with him. By Any Other Name by Jodi Picoult

Emilia and Melina both have dreams to have their work of writing plays receive its due praise. Though they live 100 years apart, both have to fight a male dominated society of suppression of their art and talent.

By Any Other Name is a story of compare and contrast, of hiding one’s name behind a male’s name in order to receive recognition for the work but not of them. It is a purely wonderful offering and so engaging for the reader.

Between the Sound and the Sea by Amanda Cox

A very moving story that will resonate deep within you, especially if you live with regrets about the past. The memories portrayed blend seamlessly throughout the story creating understanding of the characters. A very easy book to love.

Tell Me Everything by Elizabeth Strout

Stories within a story that you hope will intersect about love, life, and sadness. The main characters live out life in a quiet Maine town where life happens during walks, talks, and family.

It took a while to get into the book because there seemed to be no rhyme or reason. As I continued reading, the prose and descriptions drew me in and I loved each segment of the characters’ lives.

The love of Dara and Austin was perfectly moving along into marriage until a former girlfriend drops a bomb. Everything goes completely off the rails. Austin returns to London to cope with the problem and Dara begins a journey of discovery guided by her psychologist grandmother and by the relationship of her mother and father.

Romance, love and relationships fill the pages with questions and truths. A wonderful story created by the weaving together of thoughts and conversations.

The Space Between Secrets by Shari Langer

I only read about 20% of this novel before I stopped. I felt no connection with the character Rachel. It sounded like a good story and I was disappointed by the very slow development of the plot.

De-Witched by Sophie H. Morgan

A very delightful story that will surely draw you in until the end. A test of character rolls through the scenes as a human and a warlock have a battle of strong wills while opening cracks in the walls around their hearts. The evolution of the resistant warlock, Gabriel, is magical. Leah’s persistence is fabulous. Their connection will keep you captivated.

Name Your Price by Holly James

So cute and spicy a story about a broken up couple starring in a reality show. They are fire and flame, passion and chemistry together. But fire and flame led to their parting. The show requires them to stay together in a house without touching for one month. They are in very close quarters where chemistry threatens their chance for winning a million dollars each. Can they do it?

One Year Ago in Spain by Evelyn Skye

This book is so much more than good. It is very touching amid a surreal plot of a woman connecting with the soul of her comatose boyfriend. Trying to bring him back to his body is actually a time of realization for her. Just a wonderful plot and novel.

All's Fair in Love and Rodeo by Leah Valle

Loved it! Smart, savvy women embark on a business in a man’s world to raise and train rodeo stock. Of the five women, this story is about Sammie and Alec. They had a one night of passion five weeks prior and she just learned she is pregnant with Alec-a rich competitor’s grandson. So many problems to overcome interfere with their relationship.

Make It Real by Nan Reinhardt

I love a sweet romance with desire struggles and some competition. Make It Real has it plus irritating exes. The story of how Joe and Kara combine love and business is truly delightful.

Scooping Up Scandal by Emmie Lyn

Murder, a winning lottery ticket and mayhem are all happening in Blueberry Bay. The suspects are crawling out of the woodwork. All of them have solid motives but only one of them is guilty. This is a cozy mystery to enjoy and try to figure out who done it.
