Last Dance with the Texas Bull Rider by Rebecca Crowley

A second chance romance to love. It has an enticing storyline filled with chemistry and love in the wings. The pairing of Jessa and Caleb is plotted to a captivating level.

Adopting with the Doctor by Patricia W. Fischer

Spicy romance with a cute meet, a newborn and enormous internal struggles entwine with broiling chemistry make this romance zoom to the top.

Dark Knight's Kiss by Leigh Anne Edwards

The chemistry between Fiona and Lorcan escalates as they chase an evil demon intent on revenge. Fiona is in serious danger and Lorcan uses all he has to keep her safe. But things get horribly worse as the story progresses. Twists, turns and disaster course through the pages.

Husbands and Lovers by Beatriz Williams

A boy who needs a kidney, his mother hiding the identity of his father, and the story of an unknown grandmother and her life of love brings a fantastic love story on many levels. The plot swivels from Mallory and her son at present and of Mallory’s and his father’s deep love in the past. Parallel is the story of Mallory’s unknown grandmother’s life. It is a deep feeling novel that compels you to keep reading until late.

The Calculation of You and Me by Serena Kaylor

An absolutely fantastic teens in love story. It reminded me of how I adore stories of teens figuring out their problems and reacting to dilemmas that arise in the halls of high school. Add in an autistic girl trying to win back her ex-boyfriend and the goth boy who is helping her and the plot to a neat story begins.

The Cowboy's Claim by Sinclair Jayne

Book five in the Coyote Cowboys of Montana series tells of Calhoun’s part in the unfinished list of the group’s deceased leader. Calhoun’s job is to find the bodies of a father and son that disappeared many years ago. He chance-meets the daughter, Jory, and chemistry erupts for them. Clues to the location of the bodies are few and far between and Calhoun and Jory strive to figure it out together.

15 Summers Later by RaeAnne Thayne

A story filled with so much emotion that it cannot but touch your heart. The struggle of sisters having survived a horrendous ordeal in their early teens now grapple with the present and the effect of that time on their lives. One sister wrote a novel about the experience. It becomes a best seller and causes hurtful memories to resurface and anger to grow in the other sister. A budding romance and a marriage in turmoil blend with the story to form a wonderful book.

Three Keys by Laura Pritchett

A very interesting story about a middle aged woman who begins an adventurous journey to learn who she really is, not who she thinks she is. Her destinations are three places determined by three keys she has retained over the years-places her deceased husband went to alone and one place they went to together. The journey is a tremendous departure for her, very different and complicated from the life she lives.

The Wild Road Home by Melissa Payne

The book sounded like a captivating offering but I felt as if I were trudging through the chapters. I found that I did not connect with the characters, Every page contained too many sorrows.

The Love Shack by Lori Foster

A young woman with a sad past enjoys her new position as head of The Love Shack animal center. She has hopes of setting down roots away from her past when she runs into a man who knew her. He is mesmerized by her and a  romance begins. Another tale of love is also blooming in the town of Cemetary. A loving and delightful love story.

The Wedding Crush by Mia Heintzelman

Spicy romance of enemies to lovers. Moves right along with lots of attraction, denial, chemistry. and doubts.

The Lady and the Thief by Kate Moore

A Regency novel to thoroughly enjoy. None of the balls and finery but one of a female author/ladies companion in the throws of a dilemma. With a fake betrothal and a repentant thief, her life begins to change and not all for the good. You will enjoy the taste of old London from a fresh perspective.

The Summer Escape by Jill Shalvis

A crime and a romance combine for a delightful story of opposites attract. Private detective Anna is involved in a case which could implicate her deceased father. Owen is the grand nephew to the woman whose things were stolen. As Anna and Owen work together, ties that bind their hearts slowly begin to untie.

The Rom-Commers by Katherine Center

Great romance about two scriptwriters thrown together to rewrite one of the scriptwriter’s lousy scripts. Of course the writer is a great scriptwriter usually and his partner is one on a not great trajectory and has always adored him from afar. The neat thing about the story is that it follows the prescription for the rom com they are working on. Brilliant and funny and oh, so fun to read.

Switched by Sarah Ready

A fun and entertaining and very comical story. Serena and Henry, both physicists definitely enjoy an amorous night but scares the bejesus out of Serena. She thwarts his love intentions and avoids him at work until one stormy night they switch bodies. Then the crazy stuff begins. Simply delightful.

Middletide by Sarah Crouch

An incredible book. So well composed to keep you reading, wondering, and hoping for a good ending. It does not disappoint. At the center is Elijah Leith, a defeated novelist back in his home town trying to just live and regain the trust of his long lost love Nakita. Swirling around Elijah is Erin Landry, suicide or murder victim. Elijah is the only suspect in this twisted tale.

That Prince is Mine by Jaci Lee

Imagine: a Korean American young woman whose godmother is a matchmaker searching for her perfect match meets an incognito European prince who is searching for a loving mate so as not to have to marry his since birth predetermined mate. Source for a cute story for certain.

Margo's Got Money Troubles by Rufi Thorpe

I really enjoyed the first half of this book. Then it felt like there was a veering off the path for no real reason. It felt like the beginning of yet another dilemma was to extend the chapters as the story abruptly changed gears.

Birding with Benefits by Sarah T. Dubb

A very enjoyable and cute book of opposites attracting, very different opposites. John is very much into birding (bird watching) and his friend Chris sets him up with a partner for a serious birding competition. Celeste thinks Chris wants her to be John’s romantic partner. He loves her exuberance and she loves his quiet manner. Their relationship grows but as fake lovers because she is not ready for anything after her divorce and is looking to find herself. John had a bad breakup and he is fine with the no relationship. But, chemistry is huge with them and benefits start to happen even with a set timeline. Will they be able to overcome their insecurities or will the timeline hold?

Shelterwood by Lisa Wingate

An interesting story with two timelines-one of runaway children in 1909 Oklahoma and one of a female park ranger in the same area in 1990. The hardships are different but point to the hard won rights to be seen as value to society and work.

Paws, Claws and Curses by Deanna Drake

A very cutely written murder mystery with a resurrected cat and murders abounding. Involved in the mystery are Rebecca, a newbie to town, Sterling, her grandfather who owns an antique store, the owner of the store next door to Sterling, and the handsome detective in charge of the case. Rebecca is trying to follow the trail of clues but keeps finding herself with the deceased and listening to the resurrected cat of Cleopatra. A fun mystery even with all the murders.
