The Last Days of You and Me by Debbie Howells

An absolutely beyond beautiful novel. The ways relationships touch the lives of four characters-Rae, Marnie, Forrest and Jack-are stunning. Their connections bring life back into the sadness and regrets that each has. A remarkable story of friendship, healing, and love.

The Missing Witness by Allison Brennan

The plight of the homeless and a gigantic Los Angeles city hall fraud combine to create a suspenseful and tense novel. There are multiple agencies involved in uncovering the extent of the fraud, all vying for total control. Within departments are bad cops and FBI agents and it is a matrix of connections that confounds everyone. A definite thriller!

The Bright Spot by Jill Shalvis

An endearing story about learning to trust and being a family of friends. The ways in which everyone interacts is priceless. So much tension is thoughtfully dealt with in the writing so that you can understand the root of it.

Love You, Mean It by Jilly Gagnon

A fake engagement between two very opposite people becomes a fun and endearing story. The characters of Ellie and Theo are written to show not only their opposite personalities but also how alike they are. Both are in positions they groan about but do not change. A terrific novel.

Lucky Strike by Janine Amesta

What a fabulous story! It has conflicting personalities that actually blend perfectly. Insecurities abound, touched by love and compassion. Two people who survived enough circumstances find someone to love even with all the doubts and worries.

The Replacement by Melinda Di Lorenzo

Man, oh, man! This novel is a thriller from page one. There is action in about every chapter and will definitely get your heart pumping. You never can guess what will happen next and it will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Killer Close to Home by Carol Light

A changed will, angry relatives, and a house explosion upset the lives of Chrys and family. This mystery is full of incidents and treachery that will cause your heart to beat faster. A very, very good mystery.

After Annie by Anna Quindlen

A remarkable story relating the thoughts, reactions, and adjustment of a family and a wife’s best friend after the wife’s unexpected death. Bill’s, Ali’s, and Annemarie’s thoughts and actions mirror the devastation of everyone and are powerfully portrayed as they move through the first year after Annie’s death. Life after Annie is bleak and filled with pain for the survivors as each is vastly dependent on her. Annemarie copes with her addiction. Ali is swamped with all the caregiving she must do for her brothers. Bill is completely lost. They all hear Annie's words in their heads giving advice and counsel. A very touching novel.

Summer after Summer by Lauren Bailey

Such a terrific novel of love, of loss, and of the relationships that happen. Olivia and Fred-you wish for them everytime they reconnect, hoping all will endure. They always seem to meet up after five years pass and it is the sale of her family home that brings them together once again. Told in phases of their relationship set against the current day, their experiences will mark your heart.

Ready or Not by Cara Bastone

A touching and engaging story. The characters are so easy to love (or dislike). There are so many touches of love that you might miss them. Some heartbreaking moments and a couple of spicy scenes.

When the Viscount Wanted Me by Lydia Lloyd

Passionate love erupts between a viscount and his best friend’s sister. Their romantic journey is fraught due to a jilted love of hers and her brother’s fiery anger. Very, very spicy.

A rich and elegant locale is the perfect setting for passionate love and loyalty to family. A single mother faces the inevitable when her deceased fiance’s brother comes to meet his nephew. When We Were Enemies by Emily Bleeker

A fascinating story that completely captured my attention throughout. The drama of a granddaughter with an egocentric star mother is related when the early life of her grandmother, also a star, is the topic of a documentary. The struggles they both experience mimic each other. Granddaughter Elise fights an overbearing director. Grandmother Vivian, deceased, fights the bigoted acts of her boyfriend. Both women find peace and comfort from kindly, young priests. Their stories unfold chapter by chapter. drawing you in with each page.

Simply the Best by Suzanne Elizabeth Phillips

A crazy and very fun story about a football player accused of murder, his sister determined to prove his innocence while sparring with his agent, a strained relationship with her step-mother who finds companionship who she meets in a coffee shop, and a whole slew of suspects. Lots of fun verbal sparring and a very enjoyable book.

Redwood Court by DeLana RA Dameron

Redwood Court is a captivating story of family relationships of a Black family in South Carolina. Through the eyes of family members, the novel threads together the stories of their lives, loves, and losses.

Expiration Dates by Rebecca Serle

A touching story of the loves with expiration dates of a woman. Told in two timelines, it relates her current love set against the experiences with others. It is a time of acknowledgement of her life and her limitations. Deep and often heartbreaking.

The Breakup Vacation by Anna Gracia

Three friends take vacation in Cancun and one of them has ulterior motives. She plans on meeting up with her ex-boyfriend to try and win him back. Lots of drinking, going to clubs, and hangovers. Slow plot, stalls out several times.
